Restructured Out, Still Standing: Why I Stopped Waiting By The Phone

My role was recently eliminated due to a global team restructuring at my company. While sudden corporate shifts like this are never easy, I know it's just business and part of working in large tech companies.

Instead of seeing this as a setback, I am using this time to focus on my next steps. It's time to reset, catch up on certifications, update my network, and look for my next leadership role in HR Shared Services and Operations.

Corporate hiring moves very slowly. Between interview delays, budget approvals, and endless waiting, getting hired can easily take 5+ months or more. None of that is in our control. I’ve learned to stop stressing over the slow response times and instead focus on what I can actually manage—staying patient, reaching out to contacts, and keeping my skills sharp for the right opportunity.
