IndiaLayoffs.com is operated by Sandeep Malladi ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to candidates who sign up as Immediate Joiners, employers and hiring agencies who register to post roles, and visitors to IndiaLayoffs.com.
What we collect
Candidates: name, email address, mobile number, current and past employment details, educational qualifications, notice period, preferred location, and documents you choose to upload (CV, relieving letter, degree certificate).
Employers: name, work email address, company name, company logo, and job postings you create.
All users: device type, browser, city (derived from IP address), pages visited, and UTM/referral source. We do not collect or store precise GPS location.
Why we collect it
Candidate data is collected to verify your availability and professional status, and to make your profile discoverable to authenticated employers on IndiaLayoffs.com who are seeking candidates able to join immediately or within two weeks.
Employer data is collected to authenticate your account, deliver magic link sign-in emails, and enable you to post roles and receive applications.
Analytics data is collected to understand how the platform is used and to improve it.
Candidate profile visibility
Your Immediate Joiner profile — including your name, role, experience, and availability — is made available to authenticated employers and hiring agencies who have registered on IndiaLayoffs.com. Verification documents you upload are not shared with employers. Candidate profiles are not publicly indexed by search engines.
You can hide your profile from employers at any time from your Settings page.
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent, given at signup. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share it with third parties except:
- Resend (email delivery)
- Supabase (database and authentication)
- Analytics providers for aggregate, anonymised usage data only
All processors are bound by data processing agreements.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, use your Settings page or email hello@indialayoffs.com with subject line "Data Request — [your email]".
We will respond within 7 business days.

Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable IT Rules. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
