Data Retention and Deletion Policy

IndiaLayoffs.com is operated by Sandeep Malladi. This policy describes how long we keep your data and how you can request deletion.
Candidate accounts
Your profile and associated data is retained for 12 months from your last login or your last availability confirmation, whichever is later.
After 12 months of inactivity, your profile is automatically hidden from employers but your account is not deleted.
After 24 months of inactivity, your account and all associated data are permanently deleted.
Uploaded documents
CVs, relieving letters, degree certificates, and any other documents you upload are deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
Employer accounts
Employer accounts are retained for 12 months from your last login.
Job postings are archived after 90 days and permanently deleted after 12 months.
Analytics and session data
Session records, device data, and traffic analytics are retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted.
Email logs
Transactional email logs (sign-in links, verification emails, notifications) are retained for 90 days for deliverability and support purposes, then permanently deleted.
Requesting deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your Settings page. Deletion is processed within 7 business days. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
For deletion requests by email, write to hello@indialayoffs.com with subject line "Delete My Account — [your email]".
