GitHub access gone before HR even called a meeting

It was a typical Wednesday on my way to the office when I received notification that my GitHub access had been revoked, followed shortly by an invitation from HR for a transition discussion. As part of a broader structural realignment, my role was eliminated. Since I was the sole team member based in India—with the rest of my team and leadership located in Singapore and the US—management made the strategic decision not to expand operations in India at this time.
Over my 4.4 years with the company, I took immense pride in consistently delivering top-tier performance year after year. While my journey here ended unexpectedly, I am deeply grateful for the incredible opportunities, complex technical challenges, and growth I experienced throughout my tenure.
I am now actively looking for my next opportunity in Senior IT Systems Engineering / Site Reliability Engineering. I bring strong experience in high-availability infrastructure, Linux systems, disaster recovery, and enterprise automation, and I am excited to contribute to a forward-thinking team.
